According to Nvidia, they have revealed plans for a groundbreaking AI data center in Sweden, a big step forward for the country’s technology. Together, the global chip maker and the Swedish Business Consortium comprising AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Saab, SEB and Wallenberg Investments will join efforts to establish Sweden’s biggest AI supercomputer.

The supercomputer will first have two Nvidia DGX GB300 Super Pods, special units capable of supporting large AI activities. A wide variety of industries will benefit from these systems as each consortium member uses the new infrastructure to encourage innovation.

The company plans to use the supercomputer to improve computer-powered drug discovery and minimize time needed for new medication. The technology from Ericsson will support the debut of new business models powered by AI. At the same time, Saab will prioritize enhancing its defense technologies and SEB is aiming to use AI to raise its performance.

Besides building the supercomputer, Nvidia has also set up Sweden’s first technology center for artificial intelligence. This hub will be important for advanced research in artificial intelligence and help local workers learn and grow in the field.
