In the Kutch region of Gujarat, the PT&D company has received contracts to build 765kV and 400kV gas-insulated substations that will act as pooling substations at the RE zone of Khavda Renewable Energy Park.
The company added that large renewable energy (RE) zones are being developed, housing numerous solar and wind projects from different developers in adjacent land parcels. Power generated from such individual projects is collected at nearby pooling substations and then redistributed to intra-state and inter-state transmission networks, the company added.
In the future RE zone in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, the PT&D business has received another order to build 765kV gas-insulated and air-insulated substation bays at the pooling and distant end substations.
More than 7 km of gas-insulated bus ducts, bus reactors, and protection & automation systems are included in the total scope of these substation packages.
Also, the PT&D company has received orders to build distribution infrastructure for Rajasthan's well-known distribution company in two of its circles.
A multinational company with operations in more than 50 countries, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) engages in EPC projects, high-tech manufacturing, and services.
