Atomos will use Gilmour's launch services on its Eris launch vehicle and upcoming orbital launch vehicles thanks to the cooperation. Additionally, Atomos' Orbital Transfer Vehicles (OTVs) will launch numerous customer spacecraft for launch on Gilmour vehicles and offer in-space transportation services to customers.
Even though it is becoming much easier for satellites to enter space, some applications need access to challenging orbits. This issue is resolved by Atomos Space, which offers satellites orbit-raising and in-space transportation services. Unlike other systems being developed, Atomos' method is distinctive in that its OTVs are permanently stationed in space and rendezvous with client satellites while they are in orbit. This lowers costs for the client and enables launch vehicles like Eris to be utilised for a wider range of missions by reserving the entire launch mass and volume for the payload.
"This new agreement with Atomos is an exciting opportunity for Gilmour," said Adam Gilmour, CEO of Gilmour Space Technologies. "We look forward to exploring the possibility of leveraging Atomos's orbital transfer capabilities to expand our services and the flexibility of access to space to new markets and customers."
"By leveraging the strengths of each of our companies, we anticipate being able to provide unparalleled services to customers in the space launch and transportation industry." said Vanessa Clark, CEO of Atomos.
